Local Event Wednesday, June 4th - Saginaw Meet & Greet   7:00 - 9:00 pm. An informal gathering for the Tri-Cities' GLBT community. All are welcome. Meet your old friends and make some new ones while eating fantastic baked goods. Enjoys hot and cold drinks in a non-smoking environment. Bambi's by Java Dave's, 4632 State Street, in the Green Acres Plaza.

Local Event Thursday, June 5th - Womyn's Circle   5:30 - 7:00 pm. This program provides support and socialization to Tri-County lesbian women and facilitates community awareness projects in partnership with Perceptions and PFLAG. It provides safety and help to women and their families experiencing hostility and isolation. The free, confidential support group sessions are held at the YWCA located at 3405 E. Midland Rd. in Bay City.

Perceptions Event Wednesday, June 11th - Freeland Meet & Greet   Cancelled this month. Join us in July. Riverside Restaurant, 8295 Midland Road (M-47), Freeland. Private room. Famous homemade pies. This event will repeat on the second Wednesday of each month.

Perceptions Event Wednesday, June 11th - Perceptions Transgender Group   6:00 to 8:00 pm. Meeting at The Mixx / Metro Grille, 115 N. Hamilton St., Saginaw, the group offers an informal gathering, taking a more 'light-hearted' approach to allow transgenders in the Tri-City area an opportunity to connect with one another for socializing and support. If you have any questions, contact Rebecca at rebecca@perceptionssv.org. This event will repeat on the second Wednesday of each month.

Perceptions Event Thursday & Friday, June 12th & 13th - Perceptions Charity Yard Sale   Our annual charity yard sale raises funds for our sponsorship of AIDS Walk Michigan. Chas & Mike are hosting the sale at 2839 Gulfstream, Saginaw Township. We're looking for donors to supply items for the sale, volunteers to help organize and price the items for the sale, volunteers to work during the sale, and shoppers. Local Event Tuesday, June 17th - Perceptions Summer Potluck Picnic   6:00 pm. Our first picnic of the summer will be hosted by Alan & Tim at their home in Saginaw Township. Bring a dish to pass. Perceptions will supply hot dogs & the fixin's, table service, and non-alcoholic beverages. Rain or shine. All are welcome.

This gathering is intended as a discussion and informal support group for gay and bisexual men. The group will be facilitated by Thomas Brubaker. You may bring your own beverage into the library as long as the container has a cover or cap.

PFLAG Event Sunday, June 22nd - PFLAG Meeting   2:00 - 4:30 pm. The meeting takes place at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 6220 Jefferson Ave., Midland.

Perceptions Event Thursday, June 26th - Bay City Meet & Greet   7:00 pm. An informal gathering of the Tri-Cities' GLBT community. We’ll meet this month at Mama Lupos, located at 2706 Center Ave., in Essexville. This local ice cream shop is very near Bay City’s Rail Trail if you’d like to stroll.

Michigan Event Saturday, June 28th - Michigan Pride March, Rally & Festival   20th annual statewide GLBT pride events at the Capitol. Festival in Lansing's Riverfront Park includes festival stage, booths, open air bar, food vendors. Visit www.michiganpride.org for more information.

Michigan Event August 5th to 10th - Michigan Womyn's Music Festival   Forty performances, a film festival, an artisan/craft show and a full roster of workshops, parties and dances are all slated for one glorious week on 650 lush green acres in Michigan. This year's line-up features Michigan's signature combination of new blood and longtime beloveds, representing every genre and generation through the sounds you hear from the stages as well as from the womyn you meet on the wooded path. Local Event Saturday, September 27 - AIDS Walk Bay City/Midland/Saginaw   Wenonah Park, Downtown Bay City. Registration begins at 9:30 am, Rally at 10:30 and Walk begins at 11:00. All donations raised through AIDS Walk benefits the HIV/AIDS Care Program at BASIS, a service of Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center, Inc. BASIS provides free, confidential care services to nearly 140 men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS. To highlight the HIV/AIDS Care Program's 20th Anniversary, there will be a special appearance by Jeanne White-Ginder, the mother of Ryan White. Friday Night Dinner. Join Perceptions members on Friday nights for dinner at a local eatery. Each week we meet at a different restaurant for food, fun and conversation. Rehearsals for Great Lakes Pride Band every Wednesday, 7:30 - 9:00 pm, at Everybody Reads, Books & Stuff, 2019 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing 48912.

Anonymous and confidential HIV testing is available at The Hearth Home in Saginaw. Men who participate will receive a Meijer's gift certificate if they choose to be tested. Contact Ricardo Bowden at 989-753-9011 for further information.
